School Catering Manager

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Catering Manager to join our team at Chartwells - Schools. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our school catering services, ensuring that our students receive high-quality, nutritious meals that meet their dietary needs.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and supervise a team of culinary staff to ensure efficient and effective food preparation and service.
- Develop and implement menus that meet the nutritional needs of our students and align with our company's culinary standards.
- Monitor and control food costs, inventory, and labor expenses to ensure profitability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with our culinary team to identify opportunities for menu innovation and improvement.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and company policies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with our school partners to ensure seamless service delivery and high customer satisfaction.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a school or educational setting.
- Proven track record of managing a team, developing menus, and controlling food costs.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
