Job Opportunity: General Catering Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic General Catering Assistant to join our team at Hertfordshire Catering Limited (HCL). As a General Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing food service to students and staff in our Secondary schools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook basic meals and snacks
  • Ensure the kitchen and dining areas are clean and hygienic
  • Comply with health and safety regulations
  • Provide excellent customer service to students and staff
  • Operate basic IT systems
Requirements:
  • Previous catering experience is desirable but not essential
  • Food hygiene level 2 certification (training will be provided)
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety practices
  • Excellent timekeeping and reliability
  • Strong communication skills and fluency in spoken and written English
