Kier Group is committed to delivering exceptional results on our projects. We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Site Engineer to join our team at Devonport Dockyard in Plymouth, Devon. As a Nuclear Site Engineer, you will work closely with the Nuclear team to deliver the redevelopment project at the dockyard.

Location: Site Based, Plymouth, Devon

Hours: Permanent 45 hours per week

Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Civil Engineering Professional to work on a high-profile project in the Nuclear sector. As a Nuclear Site Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate construction of the work, managing systems to enable the progress of work to be reviewed against time, quality, dimensions, and quantity, and providing and maintaining setting out and dimensional control.

  • Responsible for setting out works constructed within allowable tolerances.
  • Regularly check setting out points and benchmarks and ensure all setting out instruments and measuring equipment are delivered to site with a calibration certificate and recorded accordingly.
  • Manage the preparation of sketches for distribution on site, ensuring clear communication channels are in place for effective understanding.
  • Provide and maintain setting out and dimensional control, to ensure accurate construction of the work.
  • Manage systems to enable the progress of work to be reviewed against time, quality, dimensions, and quantity.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a degree qualification in civil engineering or equivalent, SSSTS and CSCS – White PQP/AQP, and may be working towards Chartership/Incorporation with IStructE, ICE, or other appropriate professional body.
