Nuclear Safety Engineers

Nuclear safety engineers play a crucial role in ensuring the safe operation of nuclear facilities. We are seeking experienced professionals to join our team at Devonport Royal Dockyard, where you will have the opportunity to work on various projects related to submarine maintenance and upkeep.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical guidance on nuclear safety assessment processes and policy.
- Evaluate compliance with statutory legislation and ensure adherence to industry standards.
- Develop and implement nuclear safety cases, including risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-quality 3rd party deliverables that meet regulatory requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need a background in nuclear/radiological safety, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment. A degree in an engineering or scientific discipline is required, and Chartered Engineer status is desirable.
