Job Title: Backend Squad Lead

We are seeking an experienced Backend Squad Lead to join our engineering team at With Intelligence. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of backend developers, providing technical guidance and support, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of backend developers, providing technical guidance and support.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, product managers, and designers, to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Develop and maintain web applications using PHP and related frameworks.
  • Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
  • Write clean, efficient, and reusable code following best practices and coding standards.
  • Optimize application performance and ensure scalability of backend systems.
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Work closely with product managers and designers to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and technologies in PHP development.
  • Maintain high coding standards, code quality, and best practices within the team.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a backend developer, with a strong understanding of backend technologies and architectures.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a team of backend developers, and/or cross-functional teams/chapters.
  • Proficiency in backend development using PHP, and frameworks like Symfony or Laravel.
  • Experience with NodeJS would be beneficial.
  • Experience with ElasticSearch would be beneficial.
  • Experience with designing and building scalable and efficient APIs.
  • Understanding of database systems and query optimization.
  • Familiarity with AWS.
  • Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and management abilities.
  • Experience working in an agile development environment.
