About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Bid and Project Manager to join our team at Thales Integrated Airspace-protection Systems (IAS). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating resources across all functions to deliver competitive campaigns, bids, and products, and for managing profitable projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement supply chain architectures to meet the needs of our customers and the business
  • Represent IAS UK in discussions with internal stakeholders to ensure acquisition strategies are aligned with business needs
  • Work closely with bid and product development teams to design and develop work packages, competitiveness objectives, and target costs
  • Develop and maintain governance requirements and acquisition strategies with the bid/project team
  • Assure coherence of prime and intragroup subcontract programs, technical, commercial, and financial aspects
  • Generate and review RFQs to intra-group suppliers, ensuring bid and program requirements are accurately captured
  • Lead activities in the intra-group supply chain to identify supply market innovation opportunities and optimize risk-sharing
  • Identify and mitigate risks and maximize opportunities in the role of intra-group supply chain Risk Manager for the bid
About You

We are looking for a highly experienced Bid and Project Manager with a proven track record of successful delivery in a similar role, ideally within the defence or aerospace industry. You will have a strong background in supply chain architecture development and implementation, commercial skills, and experience with differing contracting models. You will also have excellent leadership, presentation, and communication skills, as well as exceptional interpersonal skills to optimize cross-functional and cross-organizational working.
