Orthopaedic Clinical Fellow

The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Fellow to join our team in the Bone Infection Unit. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, starting in August 2024.
Key Responsibilities- Work under the supervision of bone infection specialists, including consultants in orthopaedic oncology and complex arthroplasty, in clinics, ward care, and operating theatre sessions.
- Provide teaching and advice to medical students from Birmingham University while on their oncology attachment to the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital.
- Participate in research sessions and contribute to ongoing research and audit commitments.
- Play an active role in the Hospital's clinical audit programme, in accordance with criteria set by the Trust and the Royal College of Surgeons.

Requirements- Registration with the GMC with a licence to practice.
- FRCS (Orthopaedic) or an appropriate higher surgical qualification.
- Significant experience as an orthopaedic trainee.
- Understanding of audit and research principles.
- Evidence of active participation and completion of audits.
- Competent in managing patients with hip and knee conditions.
