About the Role

Kennedys Law LLP is seeking an experienced Associate to join our highly reputable Healthcare Division, ranked in the top tier for Defendant Clinical Negligence in both Chambers and Legal 500.

The successful candidate will work on clinical negligence cases, advising clients on medical insurance coverage, health law advice, and regulatory matters. They will also represent clients at inquests and judicial reviews.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise clients on clinical negligence claims, including medical insurance coverage and health law advice.
  • Represent clients at inquests and judicial reviews.
  • Work with the Healthcare Division to advise NHS Resolution, NHS Trusts, and medical malpractice insurers on EL/PL and clinical negligence claims.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, including medical malpractice insurers and their insured Hospitals and healthcare providers.
Requirements
  • 0-3 years' UK relevant experience.
  • Good knowledge of clinical negligence litigation process and Civil Procedure Rules.
  • Ideally some knowledge of insurance and coverage issues.
