Job Title: Clinical Lead Speech and Language Therapist

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Lead Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the in-patient SLT team and providing clinical leadership to the multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational management of the in-patient SLT team
  • Provide clinical leadership to the team and other MDT colleagues
  • Ensure delivery of service and clinical outcomes align with Local and National Guidelines
  • Develop service and financial plans compatible with the strategic direction of the organisation
  • Provide clinical expertise to patients, colleagues, and stakeholders
  • Support development and delivery of the clinical governance programme
  • Responsible for local interpretation and application of clinical and professional policies
  • Key link with local universities for strategic management of pre-registration placement education
  • Line management for Speech and Language Therapists
Person Specification:
  • Degree or Equivalent in Speech and Language Therapy
  • Master's degree in relevant clinical area or equivalent
  • Health and Care Professions Council Registration
