Job Title: Stroke Physiotherapist Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Stroke Physiotherapist Specialist to join our team at Atlantis Medical Ltd.

Estimated Salary: £21 - £23 per hour

Location: Royal Derby Hospital

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 months NHS experience in an acute stroke or neuro setting, with evidence of relevant stroke/neuro-specific training and proficiency in conducting physiotherapy assessments, treatment planning, patient handling, and mobility aid prescription.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments with acute stroke patients, formulating and delivering individualised treatment plans.
  • Provide skilled physiotherapy interventions, including patient handling and mobility training.
  • Identify appropriate discharge options, co-ordinate safe discharges, and recommend/adapt mobility aids and equipment.
  • Work closely with a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) to provide individual and joint treatment sessions for stroke patients.
  • Complete complex mobility assessments and prescribe a range of mobility aids to improve patient function.
  • Maintain accurate and concise medical records and provide clear onward referrals.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Hold a Physiotherapy degree (MSc or BSc) and full HCPC registration.
  • A minimum of 12 months NHS experience in an acute stroke or neuro setting.
  • Evidence of relevant stroke/neuro-specific training.
  • Computer literate and able to use electronic medical records systems.
