Job Title: Support Worker - Learning Disabilities Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in the West Midlands. As a Support Worker - Learning Disabilities Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with Learning Disabilities.

About the Role:
  • Provide direct support to individuals with Learning Disabilities, enabling them to live independently and participate in their communities.
  • Deliver agreed support packages to quality standards, promoting independence, wellbeing, and choice among service users.
  • Support individuals with their personal care, including skin care, bathing, and shaving, as well as housekeeping duties such as cooking and cleaning.
  • Liaise with external professional groups, such as GPs and Social Services, to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Recent and extensive experience working with children or adults with Learning Disabilities.
  • Comfortable with providing personal and intimate care to service users.
  • Able to undertake the moving and handling of service users following training.
  • Display a caring and empathetic approach to people with Learning Disabilities.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
