Principal Capital Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Capital Project Manager to join our team at Premier Foods. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of multiple capital-based infrastructure, growth, and cost-out projects to specification, time, and cost plan, achieving the highest of engineering and professional standards.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop a pipeline of suitable projects, including feasibility studies, cost-benefit analysis, etc.
  2. Lead compilation of capital authority request documentation/narrative
  3. Lead and engage end-users in the development of engineering scope
  4. Manage all health and safety aspects of capital projects (e.g., CDM requirements)
  5. Report project progress: tracking of milestones, activity, priorities, financials
  6. Ensure compliance at pre-delivery milestones to user acceptance test protocols

Requirements:

  1. Engineering degree or equivalent
  2. Up to 5 years Food & FMCG background
  3. Extensive capital project management experience with a customer focus
  4. Conversant with relevant legislation (e.g., IEE 17th Edition, DSEAR, etc.)
  5. Demonstrable record in successful delivery of engineering capital projects in FMCG with emphasis on specification/planning/implementation/validation
  6. MS Project proficient
  7. Experience of modern manufacturing practice
  8. Food processing and associated equipment knowledge
  9. Collaborative approach, with ability to communicate at all levels
  10. Ability to deliver results on time and cost in a pressurized and trade union environment
  11. Understanding customer needs and being proactive with actions
  12. A self-starter, enthusiastic, positive, energetic, and resourceful
