About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a senior mental health practitioner, working with veterans who are experiencing complex mental health needs. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to our service users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of need, including risk and safety
  • Delivering a range of psychosocial interventions, including psychoeducation, anxiety management, and emotional regulation
  • Working closely with psychological therapists to formulate and support your work
  • Providing practical and psychological support to veterans and their families
  • Liaising with local charities and organizations to support wider health and wellbeing
Requirements
  • Professional qualification in mental health nursing, social work, or occupational therapy
  • Extensive experience of working with people with complex and enduring mental health needs
  • Experience of working as a care coordinator within the community
  • High level of understanding of the difficulties experienced by veterans and how this impacts on function
