We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Primary Mental Health Worker to join our multi-disciplinary team in the development and delivery of Thrive, a service that identifies mental health difficulties at the earliest stage and facilitates the provision of services that promote resilience and enable positive mental health.
Key Responsibilities- Work within the Getting Advice Quadrant 1 of the Thrive Model, providing advice, guidance, signposting, and training to community partners, as well as consultation and short-term 1:1 or group intervention for children and young people on a needs-led basis.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, including schools, social services, and other healthcare providers, to ensure effective collaboration and coordination of services.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and young people's mental health needs, using evidence-based tools and frameworks, and develop personalized plans to address these needs.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues from a range of professions and organizations to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to mental health support.
- Provide leadership and supervision to junior team members, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Professional qualification and training in either Registered Nursing, Social Work, or Occupational Therapy.
- Several years of experience working in a child and adolescent mental health team or equivalent.
- Ability to think systemically and holistically, with a strong understanding of children and young people's emotional and mental health.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, young people, families, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
