About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced care manager to join our expanding team at Home Instead. As a care manager, you will be responsible for the growth and development of our domiciliary care services, ensuring outstanding quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Director and Registered Operations Manager to coordinate the setup, growth, and development of a high-quality private domiciliary care service for older people in the local area.
- Network in the local community to raise awareness of the service.
- Promote the highest standards of care and service.
- Offer support and leadership to the care team.
- Convert new client enquiries and coordinate staffing rotas.
- Ensure compliance by maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with legal and organisational requirements.
- Ensure successful operation of quality control systems and perform quality assurance visits for clients.
- Continually review and improve our processes to ensure the most effective and efficient service is always being delivered.
- Effectively manage complaints and incidents, carrying out investigations relating to the quality of the service and using those findings to initiate improvements.
- Responsibility and ownership of Key Performance Indicators.
- Undertake monthly audits including recruitment documentation, accident and incidents, medication and trend analysis.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience in a management role in health and social care.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work well and accurately under pressure.
- Be responsive, agile, and remain calm whilst dealing with multiple priorities.
- Be flexible to meet demands of the business, including participating in an on-call rota.
- Knowledge of relevant UK legislation and regulations governing the provision of care services, including CQC regulations.
- Good working knowledge of IT Systems with experience of Microsoft Office.
- A relevant qualification in health or social care (e.g., NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent) or the commitment to gaining the qualification within a set timeframe.
