About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance and Data Administrator to join our Ministry Development Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of financial policy through administration of the ordination training budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of specific components of the Training for Ministry Budget
  • Payment of Resourcing Ministerial Education (RME) related Funds
  • Calculation and payment of tuition fees and maintenance grants for continuing students
  • Payment of ad hoc grants following policy guidelines, including Disability, Special Hardship, and Train a Priest Fund
Data Management
  • Analysis of RME block grant utilisation data, including Confirmation of Training Forms (COTs)
  • Monitoring and reporting on the use of MDT restricted funds
  • Monitoring diocesan expenditure on ordinand maintenance and implementing arrangements to share costs in accordance with relative diocesan wealth (pooling)
  • Maintaining and interrogating data on attendance at Bishops' Advisory Panels (BAPs)
  • Maintaining and interrogating data on ordinand training
  • Maintaining and interrogating data on vocational exploration
  • Producing reports and further data analysis as required
Divisional Financial Management
  • Working with Ministry Development team colleagues to build departmental budgets
  • Ensuring effective expense payment workflows on SAP
  • Liaising with Archbishops' Council Finance Department on budgetary issues and resolving them
  • Monitoring progress against budget and forecasting outcomes as required
  • Administration of the TAP, WCMET, and other Hardship Grants

  • A salary of £33,382 per annum, plus age-related pension contributions between 8-15% of salary
