We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Organizational Development Professional to join our dynamic team at Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service (CFRS).

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our Learning and Organisational Development function, focusing on professional skills development, coaching, ED&I, management development, progression, appraisals, talent and succession. You will work closely with our Training Centre team to ensure that our operational colleagues receive the technical skills development they need to excel in their roles.

Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service is one of the best fire and rescue services in the country, and we were recently praised by Her Majesty's Inspectorate for Constabulary and Fire and Rescue Services (HMICFRS) for promoting the right values and culture, getting the right people with the right skills, ensuring fairness, promoting diversity, managing performance, and developing leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective learning and organisational development strategies to support the growth and success of our teams.
  • Design and deliver training programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of our staff, including leadership development, coaching, and ED&I initiatives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions to address these needs.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with external providers to ensure access to high-quality training and resources.
