About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Learning and Development Consultant to join our team at Cambridgeshire County Council. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to support the development of our social care staff across adult services.

Job Description

As a Senior Learning and Development Consultant, you will play a key role in creating, developing, implementing, and evaluating a wide range of professional learning opportunities. You will work closely with colleagues to identify training needs and develop innovative solutions that enhance the knowledge, skills, capabilities, and attributes of social care staff.

Responsibilities
  • Support the development of newly qualified Social Workers as they complete their ASYE (assessed and supported year in employment)
  • Create and deliver a range of professional learning opportunities, including classroom and virtual-based training, coaching, one-to-one teaching, mentoring, action learning, and reflective supervision
  • Work with colleagues to identify training needs and develop innovative solutions
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of learning opportunities and make recommendations for improvement
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in social work practice or education, with experience of working with adult services
  • An understanding of project planning and quality assurance of assessment
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • The ability to work flexibly and collaborate effectively with colleagues
Benefits

This is a part-time position, working 24 hours per week. You will have the opportunity to work from home or our Stanton House office in Huntingdon. We offer a comprehensive wellbeing package, including additional annual leave, flexible working arrangements, and access to development opportunities.

Our estimated salary for this role is £28,672 - £34,895 per annum, depending on experience.
