Job Summary

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Undertake training on various hospital instrument models
  • Learn essential form and functionality, with a focus on expanding into more complex repairs
  • Accurately examine, test, and troubleshoot equipment for defects and issues
  • Determine the best course of service or repair to restore devices to working order
  • Work with equipment and machinery, including microscopes, grinders, and soldering irons
  • Repair casings, flex tubing, circuitry, electronics, and machined parts
  • Adhere to health and safety policies and procedures
  • Support ISO goals and objectives and ensure conformance in the assigned repair lab area
  • Participate in the company's lean philosophy of continuous improvement

Requirements and Qualifications

  • English language proficiency
  • Minimum 1 year of overall work experience
  • Good hand-eye coordination and ability to handle small parts and equipment
  • Precision use of hands with a full range of hand manipulation
  • Attention to detail and ability to notice subtle differences
  • Comfort with repetitive tasks and ability to follow instructions
  • Able to read and understand detailed schematics and instructions
  • Comfortable sitting, standing, and bending frequently
  • Ability to follow strict procedures and processes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a similar role or environment utilizing power and hand tools
  • Prior work experience in a role requiring manipulation, bending, and intricate assembly work
