Farm Trader (Entry Level) Opportunity

The Role

We are seeking an entry-level Farm Trader to join our expanding team, based at our office. This is a great opportunity to learn from our strong professionals and gain experience in the agricultural industry. The main purpose and responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Purchasing grain, pulses, and oilseeds from farms and selling seed fertilizers and other crop products.
  • Working with the team to identify prospective customers, promote the benefits of trading with COFCO Agri Ltd., and open new accounts.
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships through providing technical guidance and product support to customers.
  • To ensure that accounts are paid within terms agreed, and customer credit is controlled.
  • To undertake on-farm grain sampling.
  • To ensure the maintenance of an effective working knowledge of all crops/commodities traded, and of seed/fertilizer and other crop products sold.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with farmers and other stakeholders in the agricultural industry.
  • Providing technical guidance and product support to customers.
  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Managing and maintaining accurate records and reports.
