This is an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to lead our Older Peoples Mental Health Inpatient Services at The Julian Hospital. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mental health, with experience in managing complex cases and a passion for teaching and research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality clinical care to patients with complex mental health needs
  • Lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals to deliver excellent patient outcomes
  • Develop and implement new clinical programs and services to improve patient care
  • Contribute to the development of clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives
  • Supervise and mentor junior medical staff to ensure their professional development
Requirements
  • Entry on the GMC Register
  • Approved Clinician Status
  • Section 12(2) Approved under the Mental Health Act (MHA)
  • Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCST
  • 3 years or equivalent medical experience
  • 6 months experience in relevant clinical area
  • Evidence of knowledge of diagnosis, treatment + management of complex mental illness
