About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal District Energy Engineer to join our team at Ramboll. As a key member of our District Energy Department, you will play a leading role in delivering innovative and sustainable district heating and cooling projects.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and developing low-carbon district heating and cooling schemes, including heat generation and storage, distribution, and building connections.
  • Leading techno-economic modeling of district heating and cooling systems.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues.
  • Mentoring and guiding junior engineers and consultants to ensure their continued growth and development.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Extensive experience in designing and delivering district heating and cooling projects, with a strong focus on sustainability and low-carbon solutions.
  • Excellent technical knowledge and skills, including mechanical, chemical, electrical, and process engineering.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues.
  • Chartered or working towards Chartered status within a recognized Professional Institution.
