Corporate Financial Accountant Position

A challenging opportunity has arisen to join the Finance team at Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team as a Corporate Financial Accountant.
The role will involve supporting the Group Financial Controller with the Financial Accounting & Taxation function, maintaining and improving the financial accounting capability of the company, delivering the monthly accounting and reporting cycle for P&L, Cashflow and Balance Sheet, and producing monthly reports and analysis as required.
Key responsibilities include managing the Group's fixed asset register, depreciation policies and associated accounting, management and reporting of the Group's lease accounting, and responsible for submission of all National Statistics surveys.
As a key member of the Finance team, you will be expected to provide technical expertise on all Financial Accounting matters, ensure the generation of Financial Statements in line with FRS102 for group consolidation and all subsidiaries, prepare forward looking analysis of upcoming changes to accounting standards and ensure their implementation, and prepare the annual review and analysis of competitor team financial results.
In addition to these responsibilities, you will also support the delivery of a robust and efficient audit process in line with group reporting timescales, including FIA Financial Regulations, and be the key contact with external auditors.
Other key responsibilities include ensuring robust, resilient, efficient and enabling financial controls are in place across the whole organisation, developing, implementing and maintaining Accounting Policies, and ensuring leadership, management and motivation of a team of two direct reports.
We are seeking an experienced individual with significant financial accounting and taxation experience, preferably with some exposure to international taxation regimes, and experience of working with professional advisors.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices, excellent organisational skills, outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, and be able to communicate information effectively verbally and in writing with the use of graphical tools as necessary.
You will also have expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft products, strong problem solving and decision making skills, high integrity and accountability, and the ability to work under pressure, prioritising your own work and the work of the team in an organised and accurate manner within tight deadlines.
A competitive salary is offered, estimated at £75,000-£90,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits such as a discretionary bonus scheme, private healthcare, pension plan, life assurance, and others.
