About Us: Thornbury Community Services is a leading provider of home care services for children with complex needs.
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced pediatric nurse to join our team as a Community Based Care Provider. The successful candidate will work with a 14-year-old male with Cerebral Palsy, providing bespoke care and support to enable him to stabilize at home and achieve personal goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality care and support to the client, including nasopharyngeal suction, mechanical cough assist, and care and use of gastrostomy.
- Work collaboratively with the client's family and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement a personalized care plan.
- Provide education and training to the client and their family on care and management of the client's condition.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 months' experience in the last 2 years in pediatric nursing, with a focus on complex care.
- Recent experience in nasopharyngeal suction, mechanical cough assist, and care and use of gastrostomy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
