Job Overview

University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Technologist to join our Radiation Physics section. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing radiation protection services to our clinical departments and external clients.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing radiation protection services to our clinical departments and external clients
  • Assisting with x-ray QC surveys and personal dosimetry services
  • Working with a team of scientists to provide radiation protection and diagnostic X-ray physics services
  • Undertaking practical training and academic training to achieve a Degree in Healthcare Science (specialising in Radiation Physics)

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A HND or equivalent in a relevant field
  • Eligibility and willingness to complete a three-year training programme
  • Knowledge of radiation protection in healthcare and academic research environments
  • Understanding of other physics services such as Nuclear Medicine and Radiotherapy
