Job Overview
University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Technologist to join our Radiation Physics section. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing radiation protection services to our clinical departments and external clients.
Main Duties
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing radiation protection services to our clinical departments and external clients
- Assisting with x-ray QC surveys and personal dosimetry services
- Working with a team of scientists to provide radiation protection and diagnostic X-ray physics services
- Undertaking practical training and academic training to achieve a Degree in Healthcare Science (specialising in Radiation Physics)
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A HND or equivalent in a relevant field
- Eligibility and willingness to complete a three-year training programme
- Knowledge of radiation protection in healthcare and academic research environments
- Understanding of other physics services such as Nuclear Medicine and Radiotherapy
