Role Overview

AWE is seeking a Radiation Protection Adviser or a future Radiation Protection Adviser to join our team in the Radiation Protection and Dosimetry Group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clear and proportionate radiation protection advice to customers.
  • Work in a multi-disciplinary environment, utilizing practical and theoretical scientific and technical knowledge.
  • Communicate advice through various media, requiring strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Develop opportunities to become a chartered member of the Society of Radiological Protection.

Requirements

  • Current RPA 2000 certificate or operational experience in providing radiation protection advice.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of influencing customers, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Ability to work calmly and constructively in a changing priority environment, managing workload and meeting tight deadlines.
