Mechanical Engineer for Railway Systems

AEGIS Rail, part of the IKOS GROUP, is a dynamic and growing railway engineering consultancy. We aim to be recognised globally as the consultancy of choice.
The role involves various projects, including problem-solving, feasibility studies, maintenance extensions, and full systems integration for ETCS, CCTV, PIS, etc. As a Rolling Stock Engineer with a Mechanical bias, you will work on passenger rolling stock, locomotives, On-track Machines, and engineering vehicles.
You will have a broad knowledge of Rolling Stock and be able to take control of projects and tasks with limited supervision. Good interpersonal skills are essential for communication with colleagues and clients. We work closely with other Sectors within AEGIS such as Safety & CSM. An appreciation of these topics would be an advantage.
This is a hybrid role with flexibility to work on-site or in our Derby office. You may manage budgets, programmes, and commercial aspects of projects, as well as small teams. Experience of applying professional engineering judgement to support engineering projects and carrying out technical document review and analysis are essential.

Requirements:
- Engineering Degree (BEng or MEng) or equivalent preferred
Salary Range: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
