Job Title: Head of Safeguarding and Support

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated professional to lead our safeguarding and support services at The Manchester College. As Head of Safeguarding and Support, you will be responsible for ensuring the welfare and safety of our students, particularly those who are vulnerable or at risk.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of safeguarding policies and procedures
  • Manage and coordinate safeguarding and support services, including the provision of training and support to staff
  • Collaborate with external agencies and partners to ensure effective safeguarding and support
  • Monitor and report on safeguarding and support data, including incidents and referrals
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including students, parents, and external agencies

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree-level qualification or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience of leading safeguarding and support services in an education setting
  • Exceptional knowledge and experience of working with vulnerable students
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
