Head of Safeguarding and Support

The Manchester College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our safeguarding and support efforts. As the Head of Safeguarding and Support, you will be responsible for ensuring the welfare and safety of our students, particularly those who are vulnerable or at risk.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective safeguarding policies and procedures to protect students from harm.
- Lead a team of safeguarding and support staff to provide high-quality support to students.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the college to ensure a comprehensive approach to safeguarding and support.
- Monitor and report on safeguarding incidents and trends to inform college-wide strategies.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on safeguarding and support best practices.
Requirements:
- Relevant degree-level qualification or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in leading safeguarding and support efforts in an educational setting.
- Exceptional knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners.
