About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver excellent patient care under the supervision of registered practitioners
  • Provide hands-on personal care, including washing, toileting, and assisting with eating and drinking
  • Monitor patients' conditions and provide support where necessary
  • Contribute to the overall assessment of patients by measuring and recording height, weight, and body mass index (BMI)
  • Assist with taking specimens from patients for ward or laboratory testing
  • Contribute to clear and concise paper and electronic patient documentation

Requirements
  • Maths and English skills equivalent to Level 1 Literacy and Numeracy
  • Desirable: NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health-related subject, Completion of Care Certificate, Experience of working within a team, Experience of caring for patients in an acute setting, Experience caring for others or providing customer service
