About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a Night Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in our care homes, with a focus on older adults with complex mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assume the role of named nurse to allocated patients and be a central point in advocating for their best interests and care needs.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide enhanced levels of patient-centred care, aimed at supporting patients in meeting their needs.
  • Develop professionally within both mental and physical health, working alongside an experienced nursing, medical, psychology, and allied health professional team.
  • Have the opportunity to gain further training and experience working as a link nurse specialising in areas such as the Mental Health Act, physical health, and addiction.

Person Specification

We are looking for a Registered Mental Health Nurse with:

  • Knowledge and understanding of current legislation and clinical risk assessments
  • Professional qualification to degree level or equivalent
  • Maintains current registration with the NMC
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to be flexible and handle conflict issues
  • Good skills in assessment, intervention, and evaluation of patients' nursing care
  • IT skills
