Care Home Night Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a Night Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in our care homes, with a focus on older adults with complex mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Assume the role of named nurse to allocated patients and be a central point in advocating for their best interests and care needs.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide enhanced levels of patient-centered care, aimed at supporting patients in meeting their needs.
- Develop professionally within both mental and physical health, working alongside experienced nursing, medical, psychology, and allied health professional teams.
- Contribute to a supportive multi-disciplinary team with a focus on assessment of need, treatment, and recovery, while placing the service user and their families at the centre of care planning.
- Be a registered Mental Health Nurse with experience of working with older adults and complex mental health needs.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to problem-solve and negotiate.
- Be able to work as part of a team, with good skills in assessment, intervention, and evaluation of patients' nursing care.
- Have the ability to work on a 24-hour rota basis, including nights, weekends, and Bank Holidays.

- Professional Qualification (Mental Health/Learning Disabilities/General) to degree level or equivalent.
- Maintains current registration with the NMC.

- Good written/oral communication skills.
- Ability to be flexible and handle conflict issues.
- Good skills in assessment, intervention, and evaluation of patients' nursing care.
- IT skills.
- Demonstrates satisfactory clinical expertise for the banding.
