About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Process Safety Engineer to join our Technical/Process Safety team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading/supporting a range of projects, developing junior engineers, and driving your own technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of projects with the goal of developing into the Technical Lead, focusing on technical excellence.
  • Conduct safety scopes, including consequence analysis, QRA, Formal Safety Assessments, Safety Case/COMAH, for major hazard industries.
  • Author technical reports and provide technical guidance and mentoring support to junior engineers.
  • Prepare proposals, including cost estimations, for new work scopes.
  • Ensure studies and projects are delivered in compliance with agreed scope, budgets, and schedules.
  • Engage with clients and develop strong relationships with existing and future clients.
Requirements
  • Degree qualified in a relevant engineering subject.
  • Chartered with a relevant institution.
  • Experience working in Process/Technical Safety, preferably in the Energy industry.
  • Experience in risk and safety management.
  • Strong understanding of QRA and other safety techniques, including consequence analysis.
  • Familiar with relevant legislation and industry standards.
  • Excellent time-management skills and ability to work to deadlines.
  • Experience in a client-facing role, with commercial awareness and ability to sell services.
