Job Title: Team Leader Highly Specialised Paediatric Dietitian

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader to join our Feeding and Eating Disorder Service (FEDS) team at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of highly specialist dietitians and rotational dietitians to develop a world-class expert service.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead a comprehensive and quality dietetic service for outpatients, working to agreed standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide expert advice to patients, carers, and clinical staff regarding the nutritional adequacy of the diets of children attending the FEDS service.
  • Ensure a consistent and reliable service for all children through assessment of patients' needs and making clinical decisions regarding necessary nutritional support and dietary interventions.
  • Develop and update diet sheets and other educational resources for patients and healthcare professionals.
About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a large and supportive multidisciplinary team (MDT) and develop audit, outcomes, and clinical service evaluation to improve practice. You will have the opportunity to work as part of a national centre for patients requiring multi-disciplinary assessment and treatment for the management of complex feeding and eating disorders.

Person Specification:
  • Registered as a Dietitian with the Health and Care Professions Council.
  • Knowledge of feeding and eating disorder management in paediatrics.
  • Significant experience working in clinical paediatrics at band 7 level.
  • Ability to provide weekend cover of the service.
