Quantum Computing Research Expert

Quantinuum is seeking a highly motivated Research Scientist to contribute to our quantum software team in Cambridge. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving research forward by developing innovative theoretical frameworks and practical tools to address the challenges of quantum noise at the physical and logical levels of computation. Your expertise in quantum computing and/or quantum information will be crucial in designing and implementing novel error mitigation strategies to enhance the accuracy of quantum computations. You will work closely with software, applications, and experimental teams to bridge the gap between theory and practice and contribute to the development of robust and scalable quantum computing systems. Your contributions will be recognized through publications in leading academic journals and presentations at conferences. Key requirements include a PhD or equivalent research experience in computer science, physics, mathematics, or a related field, as well as a solid foundation in quantum computing and/or quantum information. Desirable skills include strong programming skills, proficiency in statistical analysis, and the ability to communicate technical ideas clearly both verbally and in writing.
