About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Insurance Account Handler to join our team at Howden. As an Insurance Account Handler, you will play a critical role in handling assigned projects and providing support to other projects as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collate and communicate client requirements to ensure appropriate marketing of the risk
  • Be aware of, and satisfy, territory, tax and legislation requirements
  • Produce high-quality and compliant market documentation, ensuring appropriate authorisations are secured
  • Take ownership for data entry, credit control and chasing subjectivities where required
  • Process data promptly and accurately on relevant systems to support and improve high levels of client service/internal process execution and to facilitate informed analysis
  • Maintain appropriate client files, and oversee the prompt and accurate production of documentation to best meet client, company and regulatory requirements
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures and obtain necessary authorisations at appropriate points in the process
  • Remain aware of external, industry, legal and regulatory developments, and keep informed of all legal and regulatory developments relevant to the Operating Entity/Group
Requirements
  • Understand general and legal principles of insurance
  • Understand the relevant regulatory and legal frameworks
  • Relevant experience in an account handling or technical role is desirable
  • Able to positively react to change
  • Is a great teammate, networks and able to build balanced relationships
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)
