Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled Senior Development Manager to join their team. As a key member of the company, you will be responsible for managing multiple small developments throughout the UK, from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:- Site acquisitions: sourcing development opportunities, submitting bids for new projects, purchasing land and buildings appropriate for development within agreed timescales.
- Project viability: ensuring project viability, securing planning, arranging necessary surveys, valuations, preliminary designs, and outlining costs.
- Development management: managing developments from inception to completion, ensuring cost and quality targets are achieved.
- Contract management: appointing Main Contractor, attending meetings, and carrying out contract negotiations.
- Property management: managing an external Property Agent, ensuring rent reviews, lease renewals are undertaken.
- Practical background in land and site acquisitions and successful delivery of developments from planning stage through to completion.
- Knowledge of detailed design and construction contracts.
- Professional chartership (MRICS/MCIOB etc.).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
