Salary: £26,321.49 - £45,947.33 (NHS Band R5-7, depending on experience)

Job Type: Full Time (36 hours per week, 39 weeks per year) - Part-time considered

Job Overview: Academics is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to support boys aged 6-12 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC). This role offers a nurturing environment, with outdoor learning and personalised support to help students reach their potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1, paired, and group interventions to help pupils both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Develop strategies to manage emotional regulation, boost self-esteem, and improve engagement in learning.
  • Work with teachers, support teams, and families to share updates on pupil progress and strategies for improvement.
  • Keep accurate records and contribute to assessments and annual reviews.

Requirements:

  • An experienced Occupational Therapist comfortable working with children with complex SEMH needs.
  • Someone who can create and implement interventions that support pupils' emotional and social development.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
