They are seeking a Senior Specialist Occupational Therapist to join their passionate team, working collaboratively to support service users through a tailored rehabilitation approach.

The ideal candidate will bring a blend of experience, expertise, and compassion to this role. You will need:
Qualifications: A diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy, along with current registration with the HCPC.

Specialised Experience: Proven experience in neurological rehabilitation, with the ability to work autonomously.

Communication Skills: Strong communication, report writing, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with service users, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

As a Senior Specialist Occupational Therapist, you will work within a specialised clinical area, delivering expert neurological rehabilitation services. In this role, you will:
Manage a Caseload: Oversee and prioritize a caseload of individuals with complex needs, using evidence-based, person-centred principles to assess, plan, and evaluate treatments.

Develop Individualised Programmes: Formulate and implement tailored rehabilitation plans, focusing on self-maintenance, productivity, and leisure, to address skill deficits and enhance daily function.

Delegate and Supervise: Train and guide support staff, including rehabilitation assistants, ensuring programs are well-implemented and monitored for effectiveness.

Engage and Support: Use your interpersonal skills and empathy to engage with service users and their families, addressing any concerns and providing ongoing support throughout the rehabilitation process.

Risk Assessment: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, communicate effectively with the team, and adjust as needed to support safe, goal-driven care.

Collaborate and Lead: Actively participate in interdisciplinary meetings, contribute to shared decisions, and support the clinical lead in coordinating rehabilitation programs and discharge planning.
