About this role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Control Leader to join our team in Lloyds Banking Group.

As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for leading and developing a team of approximately 12 colleagues responsible for financial control and reporting for LBG Commercial Banking division.

You will play a key role in influencing senior partners and contributing to broader strategic direction and business decision making by providing insight, control and thought leadership.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, able to articulate complex issues and build strong relationships across different parts of the Group.

A qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or similar level of expertise acquired through substantial experience in a finance function is essential.

You will also have experience of leading and developing a team, delivering continuous improvement against a constantly evolving landscape and assessing the impact of change on products, systems, processes and people.

About the role

  • Leading the operations of the team, including managing capacity, ensuring monthly and quarterly control and reporting deadlines are met;
  • Establishing effective relationships with partners within Commercial Banking Finance and Business teams, including presenting at senior level meetings and supporting Commercial Banking strategic aims;
  • Establishing and driving a strong financial control & risk framework with completion of monthly reporting, both internally and externally;
  • Leading on issue management, communicating and facilitating resolution;
  • Leading a development focused team and demonstrating continuous learning and self-development;
  • Actively contribute to the GFS extended leadership team by driving activity on one of our people pillars.
