Job Title: Legacy Lead

We are seeking an experienced Legacy Lead to join our team. As a Legacy Lead, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing a local legacy strategic approach to increase awareness, stewardship, and conversions of legacies in your region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Discuss the value and potential of legacies left to Marie Curie UK with existing and potential new supporters on a one-to-one basis.
  • Develop and implement a local legacy strategic approach around awareness, stewardship, and conversions of legacies in your region.
  • Achieve an agreed number of new legacy pledgers, intenders, enquirers, and conversions annually with the Manager Local Legacy.
  • Plan, organize, host, and follow-up a series of Local Legacy acquisition and retention events at locations of appropriate interest.
Requirements:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A diplomatic approach, with the ability to influence and have sensitive conversations with supporters.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Some experience with event management.
  • Community fundraising background would be an advantage.
