At Marie Curie UK, we are seeking a dedicated Legacy Development Specialist to join our team. This role will play a crucial part in raising awareness about gifts in Wills, both externally and internally, to support our mission of providing end-of-life care.

The successful candidate will work closely with our Local Legacy team to develop and implement a strategic approach to legacy fundraising, focusing on awareness, stewardship, and conversions in their region. They will also collaborate with other internal stakeholders to support events and activities that promote legacy giving.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They will also have experience in event management and community fundraising, with a strong understanding of the importance of legacy giving in supporting our cause.

We offer a competitive salary of £34,500 - £38,324, depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits, including flexible working, 25 days annual leave, and access to industry-leading training programs.

As a Legacy Development Specialist, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of those affected by end-of-life care, while also developing your skills and expertise in legacy fundraising.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a local legacy strategic approach around awareness, stewardship, and conversions of legacies in your region.
  • Work closely with the Local Legacy team to raise awareness about gifts in Wills and promote legacy giving.
  • Collaborate with other internal stakeholders to support events and activities that promote legacy giving.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with supporters and stakeholders to ensure effective legacy fundraising.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in event management and community fundraising.
  • Strong understanding of the importance of legacy giving in supporting our cause.
