Associate Director of Standards and Continuing Professional Development

About the Role

The Education and Training Foundation is seeking an exceptional Associate Director to lead our Standards and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) functions. As a key member of our Leadership Team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our commitment to excellence in education standards and CPD.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct the design and development of our standards and CPD methodology, incorporating research and evidence reviews in current education practices, global emerging trends, and best practice in teaching, training, and leadership.

• Establish effective governance for standards and CPD development, overseeing the entire cycle from research and evidence to design and co-production with the sector, and impact assessment and evaluation.

• Ensure high levels of quality by overseeing our approach to quality management and establishing a new accreditation framework for the charity based on newly developed standards for accreditation.

• Develop a credible accreditation offer and work collaboratively with the Strategic Transformation directorate to operationalise the accreditation framework and standards as part of our membership offer and accreditation processes.

• Direct the effective and high-quality design and delivery of training for all charity CPD programmes and initiatives, responding to sector needs for workforce development of educators, teachers, trainers, leaders, and others.

• Engage with education professionals, institutions, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and solicit feedback on existing standards and CPD programmes.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • Educated to master's degree (ideally in education) level or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in curriculum development, standards development, CPD programme design preferably in the education sector.
  • Strong understanding of teaching methodologies and education governance in the sector.
  • An understanding of accreditation processes and quality assurance in education.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

What We Offer

The Education and Training Foundation offers a competitive salary of £71,150 per annum, with service and performance-related progression. We also offer a full-time and permanent contract, with a location in London Victoria/Hybrid.
