About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join our team at Vistry Devon South West, based in Highbridge, Somerset. As a key member of our site management team, you will be responsible for supporting the Project Manager and Site Manager in the day-to-day control of the site, management and delivery of project works, and ensuring the successful completion of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Manager and Site Manager in the day-to-day control of the site, including management and delivery of project works.
  • Manage and coordinate the activities of sub-contractors, including monitoring of contractor attendance and progress.
  • Ensure compliance with Vistry site procedures and maintain all daily, weekly, and monthly site paperwork as required.
  • Participate in safety initiatives and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Manage the day-to-day delivery of construction projects, including quality, time, procurement, and contractors.

Requirements

  • SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid, and Scaffold inspection qualification.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work on any project secured by the business within a reasonable locality.
