We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team at Interaction - Huntingdon. As a Charity Programme Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting the local community and providing essential services.

The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for helping others, excellent organisational skills, and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage Drop-In sessions and Care Home visits, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Liaise with volunteers and stakeholders to coordinate resources, materials, and equipment needed for each session.
  • Maintain accurate records of session attendance, services provided, and client information.

Client Support and Maintenance:

  • Provide friendly and empathetic assistance to clients during Drop-In sessions, addressing their maintenance needs with care and professionalism.
  • Conduct basic maintenance, such as cleaning, battery replacement, and tubing or dome adjustments, adhering to proper protocols and hygiene standards.

Volunteer Coordination & Recruitment:

  • Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers participating in Drop-In sessions, ensuring their adherence to organisational policies and procedures.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment, nurturing a sense of teamwork and commitment among volunteers.

Program Development and Outreach:

  • Collaborate with the team to develop strategies for expanding the reach of our services to individuals.
  • Identify potential community partnerships and resources to enhance program effectiveness and raise awareness about our mission.

Requirements:

  • A deep empathy and understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with a disability.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact compassionately and effectively with clients, volunteers, and technicians.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
