Head of Communications US Programmes

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Communications professional to lead our US Programmes communications efforts, specifically on the F-35 programme. As Head of Communications, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive communications strategy to drive performance and engagement across our US Programmes teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a communications strategy to support the F-35 programme, including internal and external communications, stakeholder engagement, and reputation management.
  • Work closely with the External Communications Team to ensure alignment and coordination of external communications and marketing initiatives.
  • Manage the US Programmes internal communication strategy, including developing and disseminating key messages, news, and updates to stakeholders.
  • Act as a coach and mentor to team members, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and collaboration.
  • Drive significant programmes on behalf of the team, with an initial focus on the sector's refreshed strategy, Destination 2035.
Requirements:
  • Proven Internal and External Communications background, with experience in leading communications teams and developing strategic communications plans.
  • Exceptional writing skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and error-free content for different channels.
  • Confidence and ability to effectively communicate in front of diverse audiences, including employees and senior-level stakeholders.
  • Ideal candidate will have a degree in Marketing, PR, Communications, or a related field.
