Project Accountant Job Description

Campbell Scientific, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Project Accountant to join our team in Shepshed, UK. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for tracking revenue and spend on projects, highlighting overspends, and identifying areas for savings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare monthly financial accounts for the Campbell Scientific France subsidiary
  • Maintain accurate project accounting records, including revenue recognition and cost allocation
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop project budgets and forecasts
  • Prepare monthly management accounts for the French subsidiary and ad hoc reports as required
  • Oversee receipts, disbursements, and expenditures of money or capital assets of the French subsidiary
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements, including generally accepted accounting principles and financial policies of Campbell Scientific Inc.
  • Support external audits related to financial statements and project finances
Requirements:
  • Previous experience of project and management accounting
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in local language; fluent in English (written and verbal), French language skills a benefit
  • Senior level proficiency in MS Office Suite, specifically in Excel
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in financial reporting
  • 3 or more years' experience in a private industry finance environment
