Job Description

AtkinsRéalis is a leading engineering and design consultancy in the UK, delivering multidisciplinary projects to our clients.

Our Networks & Drainage Solutions team is one of the largest Urban Catchment Modelling teams in the UK, working with clients such as UK Water Companies, the EA, and Local Authorities.

We are seeking a Senior or Principal Hydraulic Modeller to develop a hydraulic modelling team in our Sheffield office. The successful candidate will work alongside a wider team of Engineers to deliver projects for clients across the North West, North East, and Midlands regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the project team, responsible for resource planning and management.
  • Technical and project management of projects, including hydraulic model build and verification, storm water management, and SuDS.
  • Undertake project manager role on projects where required.
  • Support in developing client relationships with key Water Company and non-Water Company clients.
  • Support in preparing bid documents and estimates.
  • Promote staff development through training, on-the-job experience, and personal development.

Requirements:

  • Coaching and people management skills.
  • Knowledge of the water environment and sustainability.
  • A natural curiosity for developing innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions for clients.
  • Understanding of UK Water Industry and regulatory issues.
  • Proven track record in coordinating and delivering technically excellent projects on time and to budget.
  • Attained or working towards chartered status (ICE or CIWEM).
  • Skilled in the use of hydraulic modelling software.
