Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled Senior Hydraulic Modeller to join our team and develop a hydraulic modelling team in our Sheffield office. As a key member of our Networks and Drainage Solutions team, you will play a crucial role in delivering projects for Water Companies, Local Authorities, and Developers across the North West, North East, and Midlands regions.


Key Responsibilities



  • Develop and lead hydraulic modelling teams to deliver high-quality projects on time and to budget.
  • Build and verify robust sewer network models for analysis and solution development.
  • Conduct hydraulic and water quality analysis to identify needs and risks.
  • Develop integrated catchment models to assess interaction between sewers, watercourses, and overland flows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine hydraulic, environmental, and operational needs of catchments.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve catchment performance.
  • Coach and mentor team members to develop their technical and leadership skills.

Requirements



  • Proven track record of delivering technically excellent projects on time and to budget.
  • Excellent technical skills in hydraulic modelling software.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Sound commercial understanding and project management skills.
  • Experience working on Storm Water Management and Sustainable Drainage Systems (SUDS).
  • Experience working with software such as FME, Power Bi, and/or programming tools such as Ruby, Python, and Visual Basic.
