Job Title: Senior/Principal Hydraulic Modeller

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior or Principal Hydraulic Modeller to join our Networks and Drainage Solutions team in Sheffield. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering hydraulic modelling projects to our clients in the water industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of hydraulic models for sewer networks, storm water management, and sustainable drainage systems.
  • Collaborate with our team of engineers to deliver projects on time and to budget.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our clients, including water companies and local authorities.
  • Contribute to the growth and development of our team, including mentoring and coaching junior engineers.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in hydraulic modelling.

Requirements:

  • Degree-qualified in a relevant field, such as civil engineering or environmental science.
  • Proven experience in hydraulic modelling, including model build and verification, hydraulic and water quality analysis, and solution development.
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in hydraulic modelling software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
